As shepherds of the flock, they have been instrumental to taking us to new heights of growth.
Mr. Tapan Singhel has been with Bajaj Allianz since its inception in 2001 and was an integral part of the team starting up the insurance business in the retail market.
Tapan Singhel took over as MD and CEO in 2012. Under his leadership in the last 11 years, the company has driven innovations, industry-first initiatives and focused on customer centricity. Insurance sale, distribution and customer engagement went digital under his guidance.
Prior to this, he was the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of Bajaj Allianz General Insurance. He has also handled various roles in the company such as Regional Manager, Zonal Head and Head of all retail channels as CMO.
As the MD & CEO of Bajaj Allianz General Insurance, he has ensured growth, profitability and cost leadership in the industry. At present, he is the Chairman GI-Council, and he also chairs the CII National Committee on Insurance and Pensions. He won ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ at the 25th Asia Insurance Industry Awards 2021. He has won ‘CEO of the Year’ for India and Asia- Pacific region at the IDC Future Enterprise Awards 2021. He was honoured as the 'Personality of the Year' at Quantic’s BFSI Excellence Awards 2021, India Insurance Summit & Awards 2019, 22nd Asia Insurance Industry Awards 2018 and Indian Insurance Summit 2017. He was featured as ‘LinkedIn Top Voice in India’ in 2019 & 2018 and has been recognized as the ‘Most Promising Business Leader’ of Asia at The Economic Times Global Business Summit 2018.
Mr. Aditya Sharma is the Chief Distribution Officer - Retail Sales for Bajaj Allianz General Insurance. In his current role, he is responsible for developing, providing strategic direction, and driving the P&L for retail sales, which includes various distribution channels of the Company like Agency, POS, Travel, Virtual Office, One-2-One, and Renewals. He is instrumental in managing relationships with partners and enhancing capabilities to achieve business targets and establish the Company as a partner of choice across all retail businesses. His role entails forecasting future changes in the industry and strategizing the retail channels to manage the impact of the changes on the distribution mix and business of the function. He drives, develops, and leads various flagship projects to address changing customer and market needs. He provides strategic ideas on new products and offers valuable inputs for integrating innovative features in existing products to ensure that the Company remains ahead of the curve. Aditya is also responsible for monitoring compliance with all the statutory regulations of IRDAI & tax authorities.
In his last role with the Company, he was the Head for the Motor business and was responsible for driving the revenue growth, market share, and profits from all the auto industry segments. He conceptualized and was responsible for the launch of the most innovative distribution channel of the Company, Virtual Office. He built this unique distribution channel ground-up and ensured operational efficiency with a special focus on customer service. He played a major role in taking insurance solutions to the customers’ doorstep, thereby improving insurance penetration. Aditya has rich experience of more than two decades, and his areas of expertise include synergizing & evolving new distribution channels, digital marketing, web sales, and retail marketing. He has helmed various roles across geographies, such as office head, area manager, head of web sales, direct marketing, head of travel insurance, retail health insurance, and head of strategic initiatives. He is a Science graduate & also holds a Master’s Degree in Finance & Control from Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla. He is also a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of India.
K.V. Dipu is Senior President and Head of Operations & Customer Service at Bajaj Allianz General Insurance. He has a rich management experience in retail finance operations. His specialties include Sales, Business Development, Operations, Process Re-engineering and Product Management.
He has an experience of over 19 years with GE Capital in sales, product management, six sigma & operations. He is a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and a speaker at various industry conferences and business schools. He is also a member of the Harvard Business Review Advisory Council, an opt-in research community of business professionals.
Alpana Singh is a veteran in the General Insurance sector with over 30 years of experience in various leadership capacities. She has been with Bajaj Allianz General Insurance since 2004 and has handled various roles since then. Currently, she is Head of Bancassurance, Agri and Government Business; she also Heads the Sales Training of the Company. Her perseverance, focus, and hard work have catapulted the Bancassurance channel from a minor contributor to the Company to a major player not just in the Company but also in the General Insurance industry in India. She has a start-up mindset and willingly accepts challenges. Both Internal and external customers vouch for her empathetic nature and her interpersonal skills.
Alpana holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Honors from St. Mary's College, Shillong, Meghalaya. She also holds a degree in Creative Innovation from IIM Indore.
Vikramjeet is President & Chief Human Resources Officer at the Bajaj Allianz General Insurance company. Prior to Bajaj Allianz GIC Vikramjeet had an eventful and rich association with leading firms such as L&T, Vodafone, & Deutsche Bank. A young and vibrant leader, Vikramjeet has always been committed towards implementation of innovative and path breaking HR initiatives. He has contributed immensely to the people's agenda by crafting robust performance management frameworks and driving culture change.
Aashish carries a significant experience of over 30 years, with 22 years of them in the insurance sector; he has worked in all three businesses of the insurance industry, i.e., life, health, and general. In his current role, Aashish heads Health SBU and Travel Business for the organization. He has managed a spectrum of verticals, including Bancassurance, Pensions, Retail and Institutional Strategy & Distribution Management, Alliances, Corporate Business, Digital and Rural businesses.
Aashish is a hospitality graduate in hospitality management, followed by a 2-year course with the ITC Management Institute (Gurugram) and Certificate Courses on Strategy & Execution from IIM Ahmedabad and Innovation from Harvard Business School.
Mr. Amarnath Saxena is the company's National Head of – Corporate Business Group. He joined the company in 2002 and managed various roles since then, including heading large risks. In his current role, he is responsible for spearheading the commercial business for the company. He helped the company carve out its niche presence in the corporate business and made Bajaj Allianz General Insurance emerge as the most preferred choice for corporate India.
He has a proven track record of building high-performing teams, fostering a collaborative work environment, and nurturing talent to maximize individual and collective potential. With a rich experience of over three decades in the general insurance industry, he is known for his understanding of complex risks, penchant for customer service, and passion for risk engineering. Amarnath is a Mechanical engineer by education from Govt Engineering College, Ujjain.
Mr. Mazumder has been a part of Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Company since 2001. He has immensely contributed to the company by working across several functions serving various insurance profiles. He joined the company, in its year of inception, in a technical role in Kolkata, managing claims and underwriting and eventually went on to managing sales. He became the Regional Head for Kolkata, and then Bangalore, followed by becoming the Zonal Head – South. Currently, he is the National Head, Motor Distribution. With more than three decades of experience in the insurance sector, Mr. Mazumder is a high impact leader and his key focus has always been on profitability.
He has graduated in B.Com and BA – English Honours. He holds a Fellowship from the Indian Institute of Insurance and associate member of CII (U.K.). Mr Mazumder is a certified black belt in Opex.
