We all now know that we need to maintain hygiene and practice social distancing to avoid coming in contact with the virus. But no method is 100% fool-proof. So what is comorbidity? In the simplest of terms, comorbidity refers to the existence of more than one disease in the same patient. For example, if someone has diabetes and a heart-condition, it would fall under the comorbidity term. Similarly, in case of coronavirus, comorbidity refers to a scenario where the patient infected by SARS-COV-2 also has another condition like respiratory illness or a heart condition.
Comorbidities are more common than you would expect, and it is essential to treat these along with coronavirus. That’s why this health insurance for coronavirus covers comorbidities as well.
