3. Submit the important documentation

The mandatory information required by the insurance company is the engine number and the chassis number, the date and time of the accident, the location and description of the accident, the address of the garage your car has been inspected in, and so forth. Apart from this, you also need to submit the photocopies of the filed FIR in case of an accident or theft.

4. Attain the payment of repairs

The final step of filing a car insurance claim is the payment of repairs to the network garage. After the car is sent for repairs, the network garage sends an estimated amount required for the repairs to the insurance companies. When the insurance company receives the estimated amount, it approves the repairs required for your car and further transfers the amount directly to the network garage.
