If there was a pre-existing medical condition that you were suffering from before commencement of the policy

The insurance company would not bear your routine medical examination abroad

Medical expenses arising after the expiry of policy term would not be covered

If the injury has been caused by attempted suicide, or any self-inflicting would then the same is not covered

If you are suffering from certain mental disorders such as anxiety, nervousness, stress etc. from which there is no underlying physical illness

Suffering from a venereal disease or illness caused due to drug or alcohol abuse or any other intoxication

The suffering caused owing to being occupied with some manual work of hazardous nature

If you have suffered because of exposing yourself to needless peril unless in an attempt to save the life of someone

Coverage is not provided for undergoing experimental, unproven or non-standard treatment

Pregnancy-related ailment resulting in childbirth, miscarriage or any other complications arising thereof

Cost of medical appliances such as contact lenses, spectacles, hearing aid, etc. that are used either for the purpose of diagnosis or treatment would not be covered

Coverage would not be provided for getting treated by any medicine system other than modern medicine or allopathy

If your passport has been confiscated by the police or customs or any other such authority, then it would not be treated as a loss of passport and hence not covered

If a report of the loss of passport has not been filed and an official report has not been obtained in this regard within 24 hours of the discovery of the loss

WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL MY TRAVEL INSURANCE POLICY?

Bajaj Allianz allows you the flexibility to cancel your travel insurance before or after the commencement of the policy period. There are different sets of procedures that you would have to follow in these two cases-

  • Before the Policy Commences

    In this case you need to inform us about your intent to cancel the policy. You can send us an email letting us know about your intention of cancelling the policy by quoting the schedule or the policy number. In such cases, a cancellation charge will be levied. 

  • After the Policy Start Date – In Case You Have Not Travelled

    You can cancel your policy after the policy term has started in case you have not travelled. In such a case you must send an official communication stating the reason behind cancellation to us with the following documents:

    ●        A document proving that you have not travelled overseas

    ●        Photocopy or scan of all the pages of the passport including the blank pages

    ●        If your visa has been rejected by the embassy of the destination country, then the copy of that visa rejection letter

    On receipt of the above documents along with your letter, it will be sent for approval to the underwriter. Based on the approval of the underwriter, the policy would be cancelled within one working day.

  • After the Policy Start Date – In Case You Have Travelled

    If you have returned early from the trip before the scheduled expiry of the policy, then you are eligible for a refund. The refund would be subject to the fact that no claim has been made during the term policy was in force. The rates of refund would be dependent on the following table:
