An accident : Take your vehicle to your preferred garage, if you can,or you can have it towed to avoid any further damage. Check our list of our network garages hereto get the benefits of cashless claims.

Theft : We urge you to connect with the nearest police station and file a complaint immediately in writing. You can then inform us on about the incident on our toll-free number. If your vehicle isn't found within 90 days, you’ll need to request the police authorities to issue a non-traceable report, which you’ll need to submit to us. This is an undertaking given by the police that they have still been unable to find your vehicle. Your claim process will kick into gear after receiving this report.

Third party liability : File a police complaint immediately in writing. Once you receive the charge sheet, inform us on our toll-free number. The following documents will be required:

a) In case of Injury/death - Documents (hospital bills, treatment expense invoice) related to the injury are required. In case of a death, a death certificate and a confirmation from the motor accident claims tribunal would be needed.

b) In case of Property damage - An inspection officer’s report from the motor accident claims tribunal, original bills and surveyor’s report to make an estimation of the loss caused to the third-party property will be required.

What documents do I need to renew my Bike Insurance?

We’ve kept the documentation easy. To renew your policy you only need the following two documents:

  • A copy of the previous insurance policy.

How long does it take for my policy documents to arrive?

We will send the hard copy of your policy documents via courier. It usually takes 7-10 days. However, you will get a soft copy of your policy via email once the payment is verified the policy is issued.

What is meant by NCB?

NCB stands for No Claims Bonus. For every claim-free year, you get a bonus in the form of discount on the premium amount upon renewal. Insurers provide you with this bonus for being a responsible driver.

How can I make a claim?

What is a long-term policy and what are its benefits?

Following a Supreme Court directive, the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) has asked all general insurance companies to offer long-term cover for vehicles. With a long-term cover, you get:

  • Longer coverage period whereby you don’t need to renew your policy every year
  • Protection from third party premium rate hikes and service taxes
  • Added NCB benefit, which will not be cut down to nil, even if you make a claim during the policy period
  • Proportional refund in case of policy cancellation, even if a claim is made during the policy period

Can I transfer my insurance policy to the new owner, if I have sold my vehicle? What’s the procedure to do it?

Yes, you can. If you are transferring the ownership of your insured vehicle, you can transfer the ownership of your Bajaj Allianz Two Wheeler Insurance Policy as per the guidelines. Just hand over the related documents to the new owner, inform the insurer and the Regional Transport Office (RTO). Unfortunately, though, you can’t transfer the NCB to the new owner.

What happens if my Two Wheeler Insurance expires?

If your Two Wheeler Insurance expires, it’s better to renew it as soon as possible. If you don’t renew it, your:

  • NCB is negatively affected
  • You are exposed to third-party liability risks

When it comes to Two Wheeler Insurance, you have two options – Comprehensive Two Wheeler Insurance and Third Party Insurance.  As the name suggests, a Comprehensive Two Wheeler Insurance policy gives you and your bike a 360-degree cover against losses suffered due to damage or theft of the insured vehicle. And this is over & above the coverage for third party liabilities.

On the other hand, a Third Party Bike Insurance only protects you against the damages arising due to injuries or death sustained by a third-party due to your bike. As per the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, it’s mandatory for all vehicles plying on Indian roads to have third party insurance.
