  • Critical illness cover

    This specially designed policy for women provides cover from 8 critical conditions.

  • Congenital disability benefit

    50% of the sum insured would be payable if you give birth to a baby having a congenital disease/disorder. This benefit will be available for the first two children only.

    List of congenital diseases covered underthis benefit:

    • Down’s syndrome
    • Congenital cyanotic heart disease:
      • Tetralogy of Fallot
      • Transposition of great vessels
      • Total anomalous pulmonary venous drainage
      • Truncus arteriosus
      • Tricuspid atresia
      • Hypoplastic left heart syndrome
    • Tracheoesophageal fistula
    • Cleft palate with or without cleft lip
    • Spina bifida
  • Loss of job cover

    If you lose your job within a period of 3 months of the date of diagnosis of any of the critical illness as covered in your policy, we will pay an amount of Rs 25,000 towards loss of employment, if the claim for critical illness benefit is paid under your policy.

  • Children education benefit

    If the claim for critical illness benefit is paid under your policy, we will also pay Rs 25,000 towards the future education of up to 2 children. The amount payable under this section would be restricted to Rs 25,000 for one or more child, put together.

  • Flexible and convenient

    We provide a lump sum claim payout in case you are diagnosed with any of the listed life-threatening conditions.

Claim process

  • You or someone claiming on your behalf must inform us in writing immediately within 48 hours of diagnosis of any of the listed critical illnesses.
  • You must immediately consult a doctor and follow the advice and treatment that he recommends.
  • You or someone claiming on your behalf must submit claim documents within 30 days of diagnosis of any of the listed critical illnesses.
  • Documents to be submitted : Critical illness claim form along with the NEFT form signed by the claimant. A copy of the discharge summary/discharge certificate. A copy of the final hospital bill. First consultation letter for the illness. Medical certificate for the duration of the illness. All required investigation reports as per the illness. Medical certification from a specialist. A copy of Aadhaar card or any other government photo ID and PAN card (not mandatory if the same is linked with the policy while issuance or in previous claim).

The entry age for a proposer can be between 21 years to 65 years. The policy can be renewed for a lifetime.

FMR: Full Medical Report as per our format.

USG: Ultrasonography of abdomen and pelvis.

PAP: PAP smear test.

Note: We regret that expecting mothers cannot purchase this policy. However, this policy can be bought three months after delivery.

 

Medical tests are to be done by you. We can also arrange a medical test with our network clinics but the cost will have to be borne by you.

How does this cover help in saving my tax?

Bajaj Allianz Women-Specific Critical Illness Insurance policy helps you save tax up to Rs 1 lakh under Section 80D of the Income Tax Act against the premiums you pay. 

Can I cancel my Women-Specific Critical Illness Insurance?

Yes, you can cancel your Women-Specific Critical Illness Insurance. If you are not satisfied with the insurance coverage or terms and conditions; you have the option of cancelling the policy within 15 days of receipt of the first policy documents, provided there has been no claim. Free look period is not applicable for renewal policies.

Is this a mediclaim?

No, this is not a mediclaim. Unlike a hospitalisation or mediclaim cover; under this cover, we make a lump sum cash payment on diagnosis of any of the critical illnesses listed in the insurance policy. You do not have to get hospitalised or show medical bills to make a claim under this policy. The claim is payable the moment any critical illness is diagnosed and if none of the exclusions under the policy apply.

If you pay a premium for your parents who are senior citizens (age 60 or above), the maximum health insurance benefit for tax purposes is capped at Rs 50,000. As a taxpayer, you may, therefore, maximise tax benefit under Section 80D up to a total of Rs 75,000, if you are below 60 years of age and your parents are senior citizens.  If you are above the age of 60 years and are paying a medical insurance premium for your parents, the maximum tax benefit under Section 80D is, then, Rs 1 lakh.

  • Any critical illness for which care, treatment, or advice was recommended by or received from a physician, or which first manifested itself or was contracted before the start of the policy period, or for which a claim has or could have been made under an earlier policy.
  • Any critical illness diagnosed within the first 90 days of the date of commencement of the policy.
  • Death within 30 days following the diagnosis of the critical illness.
  • Treatment arising from or traceable to pregnancy or childbirth, including caesarean section and birth defects.
  • Treatment arising due to war, invasion, an act of foreign enemy, terrorism, hostilities (whether war be declared or not), civil war, rebellion, revolution.
  • Treatment arising due to radioactive contamination.
  • Intentional self-injury and/or injury due to the use or misuse of intoxicating drugs and/or alcohol.
  • Intentional losses of any kind such as loss of profit, loss of opportunity, loss of gain, business interruption, etc.
